About Space Futuron

Futuron was a LEGO Space subtheme released between 1987 and 1989 whose storyline featuresd a group of civilian space explorers that competed against the astronauts from Blacktron. Futuron was the next generation of Classic Space inheriting its white-and-blue color scheme and the same logo. Futuron sets comprised two large ground-based installations, the Monorail Transport System and various spacecrafts, ground vehicles and rovers.

Futuron consists of 18 sets that ran from 1987 to 1989. As of today, 6990 Monorail Transport System is the most valuable Futuron set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $3,785.
