These are the plain LEGO basic sets of the 1960s, boxes of bricks without a theme, sold for building whatever the owner liked. They came in cardboard boxes in a range of sizes, numbered by size. Promotions were part of the story too. Sets were made for the New York World's Fair of 1964, and in 1969 small sets were given away with Quaker's Life cereal in the United States. One modern set, 10654 XL Creative Brick Box from 2016, is filed here as well.
