“The Lego 4206 9v train switching track collection is an expansion for the 9 volt train line. This set includes 27 pieces. And of those 27 pieces there is one 9 volt switch track, three straight track pieces, seventeen curved pieces, and 6 magnets. The purpose this set had,... More was similar to that of the 2159 9V train track starter, but it gives the buyer, a beginner’s head start into the complicated tracks of the 9 volt line. It had extra tracks and magnets, to make a single circuit, and repair it if it ever got broken.”

About Trains 9V

LEGO Trains is one of the longer running themes that dates back from 1966 and ran up until 2006. During its run there were multiple sets released running on various power platforms from 4.5volt, to 9 and 12 volt sets. Later in 2011 LEGO released additional train sets using RC and Power Functions controllers under different themes like City.

9V consists of 67 sets that ran from 1991 to 2006. As of today, 4558 Metroliner is the most valuable 9V set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,341.
