“This isn't just a train. It's a diorama on it's own. And a great one, at that. If you are at all interested in LEGO trains, this is one you can't miss. Locomotive - accurately detailed electric locomotive. Hopper car - nice and simple design with both sides hinged.”

“The train track measures at 57" x 33" (145cm x 84cm) Of those five train wagons, one is the main train engine, that pulls all the wagons together, a flat wagon the hold the cars, a crane wagon to load the cars onto the wagon, a cargo wagon, and a coal wagon. Of the Vehicles... More in this set, there is a pickup truck that holds any kind of cargo, from gas to engines, there is the forklift the lift the cargo into the cargo wagon, and there is the passenger car.”

About City Trains

City Trains is LEGO's main train line since 2006, when 7897 Passenger Train and 7898 Cargo Train Deluxe replaced the old 9 V system. The new trains ran on batteries and plastic track, steered by an infrared remote, and the track kept the curves and switch shapes of the old system so layouts could be mixed.

Trains was introduced in 2006 and currently consists of 29 sets. As of today, 7898 Cargo Train Deluxe is the most valuable Trains set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $494.
Summary
City Trains Cargo Train Deluxe set 7898 was released on October 24, 2007, retailing for $150, it has since been retired. New, unopened sets are valued at $494, used ones can be found for $220.
