The LEGO Ole Kirk’s House (Inside Tour Edition) is an Exclusive / Inside Tour set released in 2009, containing 910 pieces. Only 32 hand-numbered copies of this version were produced, and it was presented as a gift to attendees of the LEGO Inside Tour held June 17–19, 2009.

The model faithfully recreates the original house of LEGO founder Ole Kirk Christiansen in Billund, Denmark, using period-style architectural elements. n 2012 a nearly identical, unnumbered version was produced as set 4000007 Ole Kirk’s House and distributed as a LEGO employee gift (but differing slightly in packaging).

The set is extremely rare, and it is frequently cited as among the rarest LEGO sets ever released owing to its extremely limited production run. The original Inside Tour edition carries particular prestige among collectors because it was not made available for sale and only reached participants of the tour itself.

About Exclusive LEGO Inside Tour Exclusive

The LEGO Inside Tour in Billund, Denmark is an annual exclusive event that is held a few times a year to a very limited number of attendees through a raffle type sign-up process. Lucky attendees of this 2-5 day experience learn how LEGO bricks are produced, meet the designers and take a tour through the LEGO Group’s unique history in Ole Kirk's original house featuring an extraordinary exhibition of LEGO sets and models that date back to 1934. At the end of the tour, each participant receives a LEGO set exclusively produced for the LEGO Inside Tour in cooperation with Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen to take home. These sets are exclusive to the tour only and maintain a considerable value on the secondary markets.

LEGO Inside Tour Exclusive currently consists of 17 sets that as of now has run from 2005 to 2025. As of today, Ole Kirk's House is the most valuable LEGO Inside Tour Exclusive set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $13,037.

The founder of the LEGO Group, Ole Kirk Kristiansen, was 35 years old when he purchased the Billund Trævarefabrik (Billund Woodworking Company). Besides the workshop, he also bought a house situated on the property for his family to live in. After some years of service, the workshop burned down and a new one was built in its place. The house itself was repaired, and Ole Kirk and his family continued to live there.

When Ole Kirk started producing toys and later on LEGO bricks, the buildings and offices of the growing LEGO Group expanded around the original house. For a long period of time, the house served as the office of the managing director. Recently, the building was renovated and is now a meeting place and guest house for visitors to the LEGO Group.

The name “Ole Kirk’s House” refers both to the founder’s family home and the birthplace of the LEGO Group. The building has been carefully preserved as a piece of LEGO history and stands today as a reminder of the company’s...
