LEGO 080-1 Basic Building Set with Train is a Classic Basic Set released in 1967, containing 718 pieces. It is an early region-exclusive set that introduced a simple push-along LEGO train, with a four-stud-wide locomotive, boxcar, and flatcar designed to run on blue rails. The set also includes four buildings built on dedicated base plates, two vehicles, and an early mini-land style policeman figure that is not in scale with the rest of the models. It was sold in continental Europe, excluding the UK, and later appeared in the United States through FAO Schwarz, where it was offered from 1969 to 1970 as “The Ambassador Set.” Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $3,606 within the next year.
